“We want to know and understand why it takes up to six months for OFWs to get an appointment for passport renewal when they go to DFA offices abroad, especially in the Middle East,” dagdag pa niya. “We wonder why passports are processed faster when the processing is coursed through private passporting agencies out there, while individual applications get processed slowly. Why are the service standards and outcomes different?” ani Tulfo. “I shall look for ways on how to make the processing of passport renewal FREE for OFWs since they are contributing billions to our economy in terms of remittances,” ani Tulfo.
